How to use it
SVG for cutting machines, PNG for print
Cricut and Silhouette cut along vector paths, so they need an SVG — a PNG is just pixels and will not cut. Every SVG here is exported as real glyph outlines rather than text referencing a font, which means it opens correctly in Design Space and Silhouette Studio without the font installed. Use PNG when the design is going to a printer or into a mockup.
Mirror before cutting iron-on vinyl
Heat transfer vinyl is cut from the back and then flipped to press, so the design must be mirrored first — and Design Space does not do it for you. Turn on Mirror here and the exported file is already reversed. Regular adhesive vinyl is cut face-up and should not be mirrored.
Sizing invitations and place cards
Turn on True size and set the height in millimetres, and the SVG is written with real physical units rather than pixels. It lands at exactly that size when imported or printed at 100%, which matters when names have to sit consistently across a run of place cards.
Licensing when you sell what you make
Every typeface here is under the SIL Open Font License, which permits commercial use — you can sell invitations, signage or products made with them. That is worth checking elsewhere: much of what free font sites label 'free' is personal use only, which does not cover an Etsy shop or client work.
